James Smellie Ltd. have revived the historic name of Crator from one of the original fireplaces.

Initially formed in 1893 by the late James  Smellie MBE, JP, they still produce fireplace products of the highest quality to this day, handcrafted by a  skilled workforce at their premises in Halesowen, West Midlands.

Crator Multi Fuel Stove

The Ivanhoe Multi Fuel Stove is made from premium quality steel using the latest technology giving a consistency in both quality and dimensions that cast iron construction cannot give you. Stainless steel fittings and strong airtight doors add to the stoves durability.

Dual air vents provide superb flame control. The pre-heated air-wash system deflects air downwards over the back face of the viewing glass preventing exposure of smoke to the glass. This allows a clear view of the fire and extends the periods between cleaning. The stainless steel tertiary air system boosts efficiency and enhances flame display.
